OpenBrand History

OpenBrand was born in October 2023 with the combination of AI-based data company Deep.ad and the well-established Gap Intelligence, a competitive intelligence services company focused on the durable goods market.

With the goal of bringing real-time market intelligence to the market, OpenBrand’s founding revolutionized brand and retailer access to timely, accurate, and dependable competitive intelligence data and insights. To further this goal, Openbrand acquired Competitive Promotion Report (“CPR”) in March of 2024 to expand our scope beyond durable goods to the health, beauty, and wellness market.

As OpenBrand integrated, enhanced, and modernized its technology, data ops, analytics, and market research offerings, we quickly recognized the importance of integrating market measurement into our competitive intelligence solution. This led to the June 2024 acquisition of TraQline, the leader in durable goods market measurement.

OpenBrand, the result of combining these four uniquely successful companies, is a combination 10x more powerful than the sum of its parts with a now unmatched end-to-end suite of products: Market Measurement, Competitive Intelligence, and Market Research.

Greg Munves

Chief Executive Officer

Greg has spent his career as an entrepreneurial and growth focused technology and data products CEO with a track record of inspiring teams and delivering strong performance from startup to exit. As a hard working, results-oriented leader who loves to build by catalyzing all parts of the business to drive an execution based culture of winning. He has a proven ability to identify and take action on tectonic shifts in the technology and data markets. Early in his career, Greg was a defining leader in the Big Data Analytics SaaS and Alternative Data markets building and running 1010data. Greg has served on the advisory boards of Stardog and ArthurAI, and currently serves on the advisory board of DealerCruise. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester where he has a long history of supporting the Goergen institute – for Data Science.

Kristopher Kubicki

Chief Technology Officer

Kris, a distinguished technology executive with a track record of pioneering market intelligence companies, laid the groundwork for the web crawling industry as a co-founder of Dynamite Data. His endeavors led to the company’s acquisition by MarketTrack and its pivotal evolution into Numerator through Vista Equity Partners. In 2013 Kris created Deep.Ad, merging his web crawling acumen with the latest in machine learning and computer vision. The strategic acquisition of Deep.Ad by Gap Intelligence in 2023 enabled Kris to further leverage his comprehensive expertise in developing state-of-the-art market intelligence solutions for premier global brands.

Natalie Seidman

VP of Sales

Natalie has built over 20 years of experience in data, analytics and research by leading data and insights teams at Circana, 1010data and Edelman Intelligence, where she worked with the world’s leading brands, retailers and financial organizations, bringing to market actionable data products that help companies make key business decisions. She began her career at Booz & Co. after completing her MBA from Columbia University and a degree of economics from Binghamton University.

Christine Edwards

VP of Research

Christine has more than 15 years of leadership experience delivering and developing data-driven market research.  Her progressive career at gap intelligence began as a Sr. Analyst, where she excelled in the role, and progressed to run the Market Research Team.  She currently focuses on evolving and delivering the OpenBrand market research product and managing a high-performing market research team that reliably delivers key insights to inform customer strategies and produce quantifiable results.  

Christine holds a B.S. in Business Management and is certified in Agile and EOS leadership methodologies.  She has also been honored as a San Diego Magazine finalist for Women Who Move the City.



Nolan Hansen

VP of Finance

Nolan is the Vice President of Finance at OpenBrand, bringing nearly twenty years of finance, accounting, and business operations experience to the company. Over the course of his career, he has led, built, and adapted finance and accounting teams at multiple SaaS organizations to accelerate growth and meet the changing needs of scaling businesses. Previously, he served as Vice President of Finance at Outlier.org, and held leadership positions at Propeller Industries and Classy.org. Nolan is a California licensed CPA and received his B.S. in Accounting from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
