Job Description
About OpenBrand
OpenBrand helps brands and retailers understand what is happening in the market and why. We combine modeled market share, pricing intelligence, and consumer insights to deliver a clearer, faster view of competitive performance across categories. As we continue to expand the categories we support and the products we offer, product marketing plays a critical role in translating complexity into clarity.
This is not a traditional, checklist-driven PMM role. It is a senior individual contributor position for someone who thrives in ambiguity, understands how category nuance shapes buyer behavior, and knows how to turn real customer usage into messaging that drives adoption, expansion, and confidence in the platform.
About the role
As Senior Product Marketing Manager (B2B), you will own how OpenBrand’s value is articulated across personas, categories, and products for real-time market intelligence. OpenBrand is a data-first company, and this role plays a critical part in turning complex market, pricing, demand, and consumer insights into clear stories that drive action.
As AI is layered on top of our data to surface more actionable insights, you will leverage this technology to create compelling sales enablement, value drivers, and customer-facing narratives that help teams move from data to decisions.
This role partners closely with Product, Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, and Marketing to translate product strategy and customer insight into messaging that supports growth, adoption, and expansion.
This role is especially critical as we:
- Go deeper on category-specific nuance and differentiation
- Improve & enable our GTM teams for cross-sell into the customer base
- Enable the organization around upcoming product launches that are tied to revenue goals
- Build stronger proof points tied to real customer outcomes
You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and operate as a senior individual contributor with broad ownership and influence across the business. This role requires someone who can do three things exceptionally well.
First, you can explain complex products, data, and use cases clearly and simply through strong messaging and positioning.
Second, you know how to bring messaging to life through creative and content. You do not just define the story, you have a point of view on how it should show up across the website, sales assets, and campaigns, and how it should be distributed so the market understands our products and use cases.
Third, you care deeply about business impact. You think about leads, pipeline, adoption, and expansion, and you know how to tie your work back to measurable outcomes.
What you’ll own
- Product positioning and messaging: Own product positioning and messaging across OpenBrand’s products, personas, and categories, ensuring clarity, consistency, and category-specific nuance.
- Persona-based use cases: Develop and maintain persona-based use cases for both brands and retailers, grounded in real customer workflows across functions such as Consumer Insights, Pricing, Category Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Executive leadership, etc.
- Customer proof and credibility: Lead customer proof efforts, including customer quotes, case studies, and proof points, and establish a repeatable process for delivering customer-facing assets.
- Sales enablement for growth initiatives: Equip Sales and Customer Success with the messaging, narratives, and enablement needed to drive new business, adoption, and expansion, including support for key 2026 revenue drivers and new category launches.
- Expansion and adoption strategy: Partner with Account Managers and Customer Success to improve adoption and expansion by identifying whitespace opportunities, expansion triggers, and maturity-based use cases.
- Voice of the customer: Act as the internal voice of the customer, synthesizing feedback from Sales, Customer Success, and Research into actionable insights that inform messaging, enablement, and go-to-market decisions.
- Data and insights-driven storytelling: Leverage OpenBrand’s data and emerging AI capabilities to translate complex insights into clear stories, value drivers, and enablement that support sales conversations and customer decision-making.
What you’ll need
- 4+ years of product marketing experience with data products or market intelligence products
- Proven experience owning messaging, positioning, and sales enablement assets across multiple products or customer segments
- Strong customer-first instincts, with the ability to translate real workflows into clear use cases and narratives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when simplifying complex products
- Experience building sales enablement assets for new products and selling expansions into an existing customer base
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and drive work forward in an evolving environment
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success
Bonus: Strong analytical instincts and a demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to inform messaging, enablement, and value narratives; experience selling into both brands and retailers.
